The Association of Domestic Tour Operators of Macedonia (ATADM), National Body of Domestic Tour Operators,was formed on 7th February 2013 with a missionto unify the efforts of all tour operatorsin Macedonia who are constantly involved in the promotion of "MacedoniaDomestic Tourism". Currently we are 15 Regular members and nearly 28 associative members fromall over Macedonia. The associationwill expandeven further in the future. Our goal is to identify and develop policies and strategies to raise standards and ensure quality service to the travelers, through our domestic suppliers, which are mainly the accommodation facilities, as well as travel intermediaries like the railways, transporters, airlines & guides, to guarantee the growth and development of domestic tourism in Macedonia and to maximize its contribution to the economy.

 

The major goals of this association are:

 

(1) To collaborate with the Ministries of Macedonia and other associated central and state agencies in their endeavor of fostering the three necessarypre-requisites for Domestic Tourism Development:

 -Facilities improvement.

-Guarantee for safety and security for all the travelersin Macedonia.

-Updating and spreading correct information.

 

{2} Toenable a healthy atmosphere in the domestic tourism industry and encouragegood relations between travel agents, domestic tour operators and other agencies and organizations inMacedonia.

{3} To create clear channels of cooperation and communication with the respectable Department of Tourism, Govt. of Macedonia, State and other related public and private institutions; And to make sure to take all the mandatory steps to promote and develop the domestic tourism in Macedonia.

{4} To develop an invariable code of conduct to regulate the procedure of booking, confirmations, payments, refunds, no-shows, cancellations, changes, postponements and pre-ponements, commission, retention charges and discounts.

{5} To promote environment protection, cultural exchange and national mixture in the territory of Macedonia.

{6} To educate the travellers about the importance of eco-friendliness and foster the cause of impeccable and clean environment, as well as the benefits from it.

(7) To achieve a level of accreditation that will give confidence to the travelerswhen it comes to Macedonia. Our main aim is to connect all the agencies involved in theDomestic Tourism promotion. Our members are dispersed in the specific segments:

 

-Regional Tourist Corporations

-Travel Portals

-Tourism Expo. Companies

-Railways & Airlines

-Hotels & Resorts

-Tourism Institutes

 

Domestic tourism fortifies the national integration and enables socio-economic development in the country. Our members are continuously involved in promoting various travel destinations in Macedonia and with it, actively support the tourism in Macedonia.
